Winter Skin Care – Aquarias Spa’s Best Treatments and Products for Beating Dry Winter Skin.

Autumn heralds a crisp, refreshing chill, but for many of us, it also brings a common skincare challenge: dry, dehydrated skin.

The colder air, lower humidity, and indoor heating can sap your skin of moisture, leaving it feeling parched, tight, and flaky. Thankfully, Whatley Manor’s luxurious Aquarias Spa offers an array of treatments and products designed specifically to revive and replenish winter-worn skin. Here’s a closer look at some of the best treatments and products that will leave your skin soft, nourished and glowing all season long.

The ultimate facial for winter skin care

If your face & body need some care due to the change in seasons, a Sothy’s Organics Face & Body Ritual, 60 minutes normally £120, is bookable for £100 during November. It is the ideal time to treat yourself. The treatment includes a back, neck and shoulder massage followed by a facial.

In its advanced research laboratory, Sothys has created the Organics line. An organic and vegan range with a cosmeceutical touch, the massage leaves the skin soft and nourished and the facial awakens the skin giving instant radiance.

Suitable for all skin types and those drawn to organic products. Key ingredients include organic birch sap, retinol like alfalfa extract and organic honeysuckle extract.

To keep the benefits of the treatment going when you get home, we have a range of heavenly spa products including the Sothys organics and Gaia spa products available for you.

For a quick fix until you can get to the spa for a treatment we suggest the Gaia Face Serum, which is oil based and therefore very soothing on dry winter skin.

Body rituals to de-stress and hydrate

Dry winter skin doesn’t just affect the face, of course. Your body may be crying out for a deeply comforting ritual to de-stress and revitalise.

Here at the Aquarias Spa, we offer the Gaia Body Scrub Peppermint Treatment. Designed to deeply exfoliate and reinvigorate, this will leave you feeling in tip-top condition for the coming party season.

And don’t worry, if Peppermint in a scrub is not your favourite, we also have a lovely salt and oil scrub as an alternative. Made up by our therapists, this is the same combination used in our Salt Scrub Showers offered to Whatley’s hotel guests and day guests as part of their Aquarias Spa experience.

Make-up and fragrance

An autumn/winter refresh of lipstick is the best boost for your mood and your look this season. Check-out Sothys new range of make-up, including hydrating lipsticks and lip liners for rejuvenated and full-looking lips.

Another seasonal delight is the new Sothys Plum and Raspberry fragrance which is featured in the December Facial Treatment of the Month. An original concept from Sothys combining chronobiology, so addressing how the skin reacts to the change in seasons. A dose of oxygen with a cocktail of minerals boost the skins defence system before winter and a cocktail of vitamins revitalise and prepare your skin for the following season. Suitable for all skin types.

For extra help with dry winter skin, the Seasonal Sothys Plum and Raspberry fragrance is featured in a limited edition hydrating lip balm, shower gel and cleansing balm for face and eyes.

Spa essentials

In terms of treatments, make sure you head to our spa’s sauna and steam room. Any form of heat, including the gentle warmth of our stone relaxation beds will support you in the transition through autumn and into winter.

So, why not treat yourself to some pampering time out at Aquarias Spa? Your dry, winter skin will thank you for it.
