For those who love to garden, a mini break to an award winning hotel with stunning gardens is a perfect getaway; add in the opportunity to spend time with the talented garden team and it is a mini break of gardeners dreams.
The new Garden Experience Break is designed for those who love gardening, whatever your experience level. It’s perfect for horticulturalists, green-fingered enthusiasts, allotment lovers, and amateurs alike. Time spent with our talented garden team will provide a valuable opportunity to enhance your gardening knowledge.
During the day there will be time to explore the 12 acres and 26 individual garden rooms, greenhouses and kitchen gardens that are part of the Whatley estate.
Two hours are allocated to work alongside the team where you will learn about the different types of plants and flowers grown in the gardens.
In line with Whatley’s sustainable gardening practices you can learn about soil preparation, pest control, and pruning techniques. We can also cover composting and creating a positive environment for wildlife.
Pick up tips to help you design and plan your garden and choose the right plants for your space.
Enjoy a day being surrounded by nature, gaining inspiration and confidence for your own gardening activities.
Garden Experience Break includes:

*£45 per person dinner allowance for stays Wednesday – Sunday. Antipasti Supper is available on Monday and Tuesday evenings when our restaurants are closed.

A 30% deposit payment is required at the time of booking and refundable up to 72 hours before your arrival date should you need to cancel.

Check in to your room is from 3pm, checkout is 11am on the day of departure.
A 10% discretionary service charge is added to your bill on check out.
