Well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed to Whatley
We understand that this very important family member enjoys a luxury break too.
We have a selection of designated dog friendly rooms available to book, if you wish to travel with your dog please let us know at the time of booking and we can ensure an appropriate room is reserved. Our dog friendly rooms are subject to availability and we do request a supplement of £30 per night for dogs staying in guest rooms.
All of our four legged friends will enjoy some little luxuries during their stay including:
A welcome letter, this includes walking routes, a garden map of Whatley to illustrate the best areas to take a walk and lots of ideas for dog friendly outings nearby.
A dog basket appropriate to their size
A small toy
Food and water bowls to use during their stay
If you have any special requirements for your dog or need us to store dog food please let us know in advance of your stay and we will be happy to help.
We welcome dogs that are trained and out of the puppy stage, 1 year plus, and if your dog is a larger breed, bigger than a Labrador, please let us know in advance.
Your four legged friends are welcome to explore the grounds and gardens with you and can visit the meadow area on a lead or harness (please remember to pick up the poop). After a good walk they can join you in the drawing rooms, please ensure your dog is on on a lead or harness at all times and we respectfully request that they are not brought into the dining rooms and that you are mindful of other guests at all times.
Guests joining us to dine who wish to bring their dog into the house can enjoy Grey’s menu or Afternoon Tea in the drawing rooms, please inform us at the time of booking if you will be bringing your dog so that we can allocate a suitable location. For the comfort of all of our guests dogs are not permitted in The Dining Room or Grey’s.
Guide dogs and accredited assistance dogs are welcome throughout the house.
