Global Recycling Day – March 18th, 2025 – Because Every Little Bit Helps
Recycling Day is a great reminder to rethink how we use and dispose of things. We’re big on reducing waste, responsibly sourcing ingredients, and making recycling easy across our hotel. Plus, we love showing our guests how small swaps—like ditching single-use plastics or composting leftovers—can have a huge impact. Join us for educational experiences that highlight how simple habits can make a difference.
Earth Hour – March 22nd, 2025, 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM – Lights Out, Magic On
Once a year, millions of people switch off their lights for Earth Hour, standing together for climate action. At Whatley Manor, we support Earth Hour by dimming the lights and creating and intimate candlelit atmosphere for our guests. It’s a chance to slow down and reflect on how we can do better for our planet—one switch at a time.
Earth Day – April 22nd, 2025 – Let’s Show Our Planet Some Love
Earth Day is all about giving back to the Earth. At Whatley Manor, we weave sustainability into everything we do, from choosing likeminded suppliers to cutting waste, using energy wisely and sourcing environmentally friendly products for every area of the business.
On this day we encourage our team to take part in local activities like litter picks, tree planting, and conservation workshops. In past years we have hosted local school children for workshops on site and held sustainability forums to engage the local community, Earth Day is an important day for collaboration and sharing commitment to the planet.
